How the diagrams are made

Each diagram is plotted, not traced. We start from the FAA charts, and make designs to print on products for each airport.

  • Runways come from the surveyed latitude and longitude of each runway threshold, so every runway sits at its true angle and true length.
  • Turf and gravel runways are dashed; water lanes at seaplane bases are drawn in blue.
  • Designs include the airport identifier, the name and town, field elevation, CTAF and coordinates.

When the FAA changes a runway — an extension, a renumbering, a closure — we redraw that field.

These are decorative. They are not for navigation. Always use current FAA charts and the Chart Supplement for flight planning.
